ALMS Announces Expanded 2011 Schedule


ALMS have a 10 race schedule for 2011

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – The 2010 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón will go down as a season of remarkable growth and expansion. Already, the 2011 championship is shaping up similarly with Sunday’s announcement of next year’s schedule. Ten venues are on the docket including a familiar mix of high-profile street circuits and North America’s best permanent road courses.

The twists and turns of the Hungaroring test cars and drivers to the absolute limit. With a high level of downforce, exceptionally low grip and high track temperatures, the 1,000Km of Hungaroring have been very demanding on drivers, teams and cars.

Road America: Jonny Cocker Gives Drayson Last Lap Win


Lord Paul Drayson soaks up the spoils in his first ALMS win

Jonny Cocker went from fourth to first in the last four laps Sunday as Drayson Racing won its first race in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón. Cocker passed Muscle Milk Team CytoSport’s Klaus Graf with two turns left at Road America and won the American Le Mans Series powered by eStar by 1.051 seconds in the Lola-Judd coupe that he shares with Paul Drayson.

Suzuka: The ARTA Honda Takes out the Pokka GT Summer Special


The ARTA HSV-010 gets its first win of the season.

The 39th International Pokka GT Summer Special, Round 6 of the 2010 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series was held at the Suzuka Circuit (one lap 5.8075km x 121 laps) in Mie Pref. on August 22, and the GT500 class winner was the ARTA HSV-010 team (drivers: Ralph Firman/Yuji Ide/Takashi Kobayashi).
