CRS Racing tested their GT2 and GT3 machines
CRS Racing wrapped up a productive two-day test at Paul Ricard HTTT today, running both the GT2 and GT3 Ferrari 430s at the first public test of the season.
All four FIA GT drivers were in attendance: Chris Niarchos and Tim Mullen in the No.55 GT2 car and Andrew Kirkaldy and Rob Bell in No.56. The test ran smoothly for the GT boys as Rob Bell explains:
"It's great to get back in the car," he said. "We got in some good solid running here, getting through everything we wanted to test. We've learnt a lot and hopefully we can take this forward into the season and build on it."
This test also gave new GT3 drivers, Phil Quaife and Klaas Hummel, their first opportunity to run with CRS. After meeting the team members and getting comfortable in the Ferrari they set about learning the track as they will race here later on in the season. Phil also had a quick run in one of the GT2 cars, trying it out for size.
"This test has been very productive for us," commented Andrew Kirkaldy. "We have tested prior to this but it's important to come and test with the people you race against. Until you do that you don't know where you are compared to your rivals. It has all gone according to plan; we've come away with valuable data that will help us both at the Paul Ricard race and during the rest of the season."
